Surfmoot 07 Pics

Filed under: Reports and Thankyous — Anton at 9:43 am on Tuesday, January 30, 2007

Surmoot rocked! We all had a really good time, partying with 700 odd Victorians and visiting the local sites during the day. This included Bells Beach, Torquay and Lorne.
I don’t think anyone from flash had a camera but here are some others pics:

Righto. Here be a programme. If you print out a programme to stick on your fridge, you should always check your email before you go to something, as the specifics probably will have changed.

If you have questions about anything, please send them to the mailing list, not just to the person who’s organising it. That way, anyone else who might’ve had the same question won’t have to ask aswell.

Please RSVP for everything! Email the mailing list to discuss it before the date, but if you want to contact someone within a few hours, then phone or sms can often be best. More details on the contact us page.

In addition to the events below, you should also keep an eye on the SA Rovers Branch Calendar.

[Flash Rovers] New Years and Surfmoot

Filed under: State-wide Activities — Simon at 2:40 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2006

Hi guys, hope you all had a top Christmas.

Firstly, many Rovers from around the place including a few from Flash are heading to Morgan on the River for New Years. Every year it absolutely goes off with heaps and heaps of people going, live band, pubs, river, etc. What more can you want? If you want to go, please get in touch with Tyson as he’s organising it all: tyson82[at]bigpond.net.au. Please get in touch with him ASAP.

Also, Surfmoot is coming up over the Aussie day Long Weekend. By now you should all have read the info on the website http://www.surfmoot.com/ . I need to know within the next week if you are definately going. Also, please tell me if you are willing to drive or if you need to go in a car with someone else. It’s important you tell me by New Years so this can be organised!! Trust me, it’ll be worth going :)

Please get in touch with me and Tyson ASAP.

Cheers for now,
Simon

Meeting this Sunday

Filed under: Den Nights — Simon at 2:03 pm on Monday, October 30, 2006

Hi everyone.

We will be catching up at the Den this Sunday at 5pm. (11 Egmont Tce, Hawthorn, 5062). This’ll just be a general meeting, and we’ll get dinner as well (fish n chips, pizza, whatever). We’ve got couches now too! I also have some more exciting news about the den as well, so come along to find out!

Myself, Dyaln and Graham will also be invested, so if you can come in your uniform for the first bit, that’ll also be fantastic.

Thanks guys, see you Sunday.

Cow Pat Bingo

Filed under: Crew Activities — Simon at 6:45 pm on Monday, September 11, 2006

The date is Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of October.

I know this is the same weekend as JOTA/JOTI – But we will have computers hooked up to the Net for those who want to have a chat to someone in Lichtenstein, or wherever.

The venue for this unbelievably awesome extravaganza is on Cut Hull Rd, Kangarilla (Where our country den is located). The cost is only $15 and will include Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast, soft drink, juice and to cover the the cost of using the land, den and cow! You’ll have to bring you’re own hard stuff, sleeping bag and a tent if you don’t want to sleep in the den.

To participate in the gambling side of things, you’ll need to “bet” on a square of the field for only $4. If the cow drops a pat in the sqaure, then you will win a great prize. There will probably only be 16 squares, so you’re chances are pretty good!

RSVP by the 1st of October to me, Simon – 0428 713 500, or contact me using the form here: http://flashrovers.com/contact-us

Next Camp – State Moot 2006, A Spaghetti Western

Filed under: State-wide Activities — Simon at 7:26 pm on Monday, August 14, 2006

Hi everyone,

Just reminding you about State Moot Rover camp coming up on Friday 25th of August – 27th of August. 2 of us are already confirmed.

The cost is only $35 including food! There are other expeditions you can chose to do, like shooting (another $33), archery ($15) horse riding ($40) and wine/cheese tasting ($6). For more info, visit:
www.rovers.sa.scouts.com.au/events/statemoot .

All I need you to do is to let me know BY THURSDAY if you are interested or not. If you ARE interesed, please let me know if you want to do any extra expeditions. I’ll need to get a $20 deposit from you within the next few days as well so I can buy the tickets. We will car pool up on Friday evening, and I can get tents if you can’t get one yourselves. Bring all your standard camping gear, as well as whatever grog you’ll want to drink. Any questions, please ask me!

Thanks – I’ll hear from you all in the next few days.
